4-Cylinder Engines
These have become one of the most versatile and varied engines on the market. MPG efficiency takes a hit, and they mostly stick around the 20-25 combined mpg mark, but with that tradeoff you’re getting a wide boost in horsepower and towing capacity over the V4 and straight 4-cylinders, which don’t have too much in that regard.
V8 Engines
Now you’re hauling with power! V8 engines come with vehicles that are designed to power through tasks. You’ll find them on the heavy-duty vehicles Toyota has to offer, like the Tundra, Sequoia, and the ultimate in luxury Sport Utility Vehicles, the 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser. MPG is low here, but when you choose a V8, you’re not looking for efficiency – you’re looking for capability.
